The Tofino Arts Council, in collaboration with Tourism Tofino, is thrilled to announce the launch of the makuw̓as Pop-Up E-Commerce Pilot. This project is designed to connect local artists to new sales channels and resources, helping them grow their reach and increase income opportunities through an online platform. The focus of this project is on raising the profile of local Indigenous artists.
Why This Matters
This project is built on TAC's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, aligned with the principles of UNDRIP. It is more than a marketplace - it's a way to amplify Indigenous voices, support cultural sustainability, and ensure that artists can thrive in today’s digital economy.
